To securely connect BurnerOS to your desktop using the Gateway or Bridge tools, you’ll need to follow a few setup steps. This article will walk you through installing HaLo Tools, configuring the Bridge server, and using Gateway or Bridge to link BurnerOS with your desktop browser.

Setting up HaLo Tools
To use Gateway or Bridge, you’ll need to install the HaLo Tools. Follow these steps to set up HaLo Tools on your computer:
Go to the GitHub Repository:
Visit the LibHaLo GitHub repository to access the latest HaLo Tools.Navigate to the Latest HaLo Tools Release:
Scroll down to the “Releases” section on the right-hand side of the page and click on the latest release of HaLo Tools.Download HaLo Tools:
Under the release assets, select the appropriate file for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and download it to your computer.Install and Run:
Follow the installation instructions for your system. Once installed, locate and open the HaLo CLI Bridge Server application. This will allow your NFC reader to connect to BurnerOS.
Staring the Bridge Server
Note: Some plugins, like ad blockers or firewalls, may prevent Bridge or Gateway from functioning. Ensure that the Bridge server can connect locally to 127.0.0.1 to work correctly.
Launch the Bridge Server:
Open the HaLo CLI Bridge Server application. A new tab in your default browser should open, displaying the Bridge server interface. You should see confirmation that the server is running, and if you have an NFC reader, it should indicate that the reader is connected.
Start BurnerOS in a Supported Desktop Browser:
Open BurnerOS (os.burner.pro) in a supported desktop browser and click GET STARTED.
Using Gateway (with an NFC-enabled smartphone)
Troubleshooting Tip: If you encounter issues, ensure that your smartphone’s NFC feature is enabled.
The Gateway method allows you to connect to BurnerOS using an NFC-enabled smartphone. Follow these steps to use Gateway:
Scan the QR Code:
On the Burner Connection screen in BurnerOS and, when prompted, use your smartphone camera to scan the QR code displayed. This will link your smartphone with BurnerOS.
Confirm and Scan:
On your smartphone, the HaLo Gateway server screen will open. Click CONFIRM AND SCAN HALO and then tap your Burner with your phone to complete the connection.
Wait for Confirmation:
The Gateway server will process the connection, and BurnerOS should load on your desktop.
Using Bridge (with a NFC reader)
Troubleshooting Tip: If you don’t see the prompt to allow access, double-check that your NFC reader is properly connected and recognized by your computer.
The Bridge method allows you to connect to BurnerOS using a NFC reader. Follow these steps to use Bridge:
Switch to Another Connection Method:
From the Burner Connection screen in BurnerOS, click USE ANOTHER CONNECTION METHOD.
Select NFC Scanner:
Choose USE USB NFC SCANNER & HALO BRIDGE from the options. Make sure your NFC reader is connected to your computer.
Allow Access:
A new tab will open, prompting you to allow access to HaLo. Click ALLOW ACCESS and tap your Burner on the NFC reader.
Complete the Connection:
Place your Burner on the NFC reader or tap it as prompted. BurnerOS should then load in your desktop browser.
