How do I rename my Burner and my custom ENS name?

Learn how to change your Burner’s name and custom ENS to personalize your wallet.

Updated over 3 months ago

Renaming your Burner wallet is a simple way to personalize it and make it easier to recognize. You can customize the wallet name and, if desired, update the associated ENS (Ethereum Name Service) name. Follow the steps below to rename your wallet:

Important: Your previous ENS will be available for anyone to claim once you remove it. We only recommend changing your ENS name if you have not previously shared it with contacts.

  1. Navigate to the settings menu and select RENAME WALLET.

  2. Enter your new wallet name. This is your Burner’s unique identifier. You can use alphanumeric and emoji characters, up to a 28-character limit.

    1. If you’d like, you can also set an ENS name that mirrors your wallet name. To skip ENS registration for now, simply check the box labeled “Skip ENS name registration.”

    2. If the ENS name you choose is already taken, Burner will automatically add a “-#” at the end to create a unique name.

  3. Once you’ve entered your new name, click CONFIRM and tap your Burner when prompted to finalize the name change.
