How do I set up my new Burner?

A quick guide to onboarding your new Burner.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Setting up your Burner wallet is simple. Just tap it with an NFC-capable device, and BurnerOS should open in your default browser.

  1. Click the GET STARTED and tap your Burner when prompted.

  2. Choose your setup mode.

Note: Only Wallet mode is currently available. Gift Card mode is coming soon.

To continue, click SET UP AS A WALLET.

  3. Generate your wallet’s private key. Adding randomness is optional but enhances the uniqueness of your key, adding an extra layer of security.

Click the CONTINUE button and tap your Burner to continue.

  4. If you chose to add randomness, you’ll see one extra step here. Confirm the key generation by clicking CONFIRM KEY and tap your Burner to continue.

  5. Enter your PIN code, then repeat it to confirm. Click SET PIN CODE and tap your Burner to continue.

  6. Name your wallet and set an ENS name. You can change either at any time. If you prefer, you can skip the ENS name registration at this step.

Click SET NAME AND FINISH and tap your Burner to complete the setup process.

  7. And you're done! You should now be in BurnerOS and see your empty wallet balance. Deposit funds to start using your Burner as your everyday crypto wallet.
