How would I know if my Burner has been duplicated or tampered with?

Learn about how to check your Burner's tamper status.

Updated this week

Burner cards include a built-in tamper-status indicator that lets you verify whether a card has ever been duplicated or has signed a transaction. These statuses are stored directly on the secure chip and cannot be altered.

Where to find the tamper-status icon

To see your card’s status, tap the small icon on the right side of the address bar.

Understanding the tamper-status icons

When you tap the icon, you’ll see one of the following statuses:

🟡 “This card has been exported”

The card was used as the source card in a duplication process. This means its private key was copied to another Burner card.

🟠 “This card has been imported”

The card was used as the target card in a duplication process, meaning a key from another Burner was copied onto this card.

🟢 “This card has not used a raw sign command”

The card has never signed a raw command.

No icon
The card has signed a transaction.

❓ “This card’s status is unknown”

The chip hasn’t reported a current status yet. Tap RETRIEVE STATUS to check the card directly and refresh the result.
