Why do I see an NFC pop-up when scanning my Burner on an iPhone?

When you tap your Burner on an iPhone, you may see an NFC pop-up notification at the top of the screen. This is a default iOS feature, and unfortunately, it can’t be disabled.

Here’s what to do:

  • Ignore the NFC pop-up at the top (1): This notification will appear as soon as your iPhone detects the NFC tag in your Burner. However, you don’t need to interact with this top pop-up. It’s unrelated to the verification process for BurnerOS. You can either wait for it to disappear on its own, or swipe it up to dismiss it immediately.

  • Focus on the Security Key notification at the bottom (2): The prompt you need to pay attention to appears at the bottom of the screen. This prompt will say “Use Security Key” and is the one required to proceed with verifications on BurnerOS.

Simply proceed with the verification using the prompt at the bottom of the screen, and disregard any NFC pop-up notifications that appear at the top.
