What type of Bitcoin address does Burner use?

Burner Bitcoin uses Bech32 (SegWit) addresses by default.

What is Bech32?

Bech32 is the latest address format for Bitcoin, starting with “bc1.” It’s designed for SegWit (“Segregated Witness”) transactions, which help lower transaction fees and improve security compared to older formats. All deposits and withdrawals with Burner Bitcoin use this modern, SegWit-compatible format.
